JOB PURPOSE

The Trade Compliance Specialist will join Burberry Tecnica in Collegno (Turin). In this role you will play a key role in supporting international trade operations, ensuring customs compliance while enabling a seamless flow of products across global supply chains.

Working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will help shape and strengthen Burberry's trade compliance framework, driving operational excellence, mitigating risk and identifying opportunities for duty optimisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage commodity code classification for finished goods and raw materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency and strong data governance.
Lead the day-to-day administration of preferential origin programmes and identify opportunities to maximise the benefits of trade agreements.
Establish and manage Outward Processing Regime (OPR) processes, ensuring full compliance and effective duty relief management.
Develop, enhance and maintain customs compliance controls, policies and standard operating procedures.
Partner with Logistics, Product Development, Sourcing and external stakeholders to ensure accurate customs documentation and smooth clearance activities.
Support supply chain and business transformation initiatives by embedding customs and trade compliance requirements into new operating models.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Experience in Customs and Trade Compliance within an international business environment.
Strong knowledge of UK and EU customs regulations, customs valuation, commodity classification, preferential origin and Incoterms.
Practical experience managing Outward Processing Regimes and preferential origin programmes.
Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships across business functions and external partners.
Strong analytical skills with experience working with customs data and reporting.
Fluent Italian and a good standard of English, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
