Senior Manager, Sampling

JOB PURPOSE
Directly reporting to the VP, Outerwear Operations, the Senior Manager, Sampling is responsible for the management of the Product Development, Pattern room, 3D Protos, Sizing and Grading, Markers and Industrialisation areas, by working closely with the Atelier to develop each garments as required by the design with an active role in identifying technical suggestions for the development of the model.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively and consistently manage the 'Product Concept' levers with regard to Lines and Volumes,Characterisation of details
- Ensure the implementation of creative inputs on products (pattern making, processing and accessories) according to the latest technical innovations
- Taking care of the development and technical definition of all components of the collection (Canvases, Prototypes, Samples, CSTs)
- Optimise technical, functional and cost aspects relating to the product
- Participate in sample garment trials with Design and Industrialization teams
- Monitoring compliance with Collection Timing and Briefing
- Daily liaison with the in-house Pattern room and Atelier for sample making, prototype testing
- Preside over all Production trials (CST vision)
- Co-ordination of CAD - 3D office activities
PERSONAL PROFILE
- 7 - 10 years solid experience in the role
- Ability to work in partnership with Product team, understanding and interpreting their direction and translating those to the other team members;
- Solid pattern making background, strong technical skills and proven experience in the field
- Experience in PLM System
- Great experience in working closely with Atelier for development;
- Effective relationship management with Product and Atelier and ability to work as part of a team;
- Passionate about product and development;
- Team management experience
