Pattern Maker Assistant

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Pattern Making Coordinator, the Pattern Maker Assistant will support the creation of patterns for luxury garments using the PGS Investronica, taking into consideration the indications of the designers, and the technical aspects of the production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To support the creation of patterns according to the design and PD team indications;
  • To assist in the creation of technical data sheets and measurement tables;
  • To create patterns with the use of PGS Investronica;
  • To guarantee the correctness of product patterns;
  • To assist in the study of wearability proposing possible ad hoc solutions;
  • To print the patterns through the plotter - only for protos phase;
  • To modify the pattern according to the fabric quality;
  • To input updates if requested by the Product Development Department;
  • To assist in production fitting briefing and review meetings in order to receive information on the changes to be implemented in the production phase;
  • To assist in identifying any technical problems, possibly suggesting corrections aimed at obtaining the required quality level;
  • To maintain the model archive updated.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Good experience as pattern maker;
  • PGS Investronica knowledge;
  • Product knowledge (clothes);
  • Knowledge of pattern engineering;
  • Knowledge of the processing phases;
  • Knowledge of the most commonly used fabrics in the sector such as cotton, wool, silk, nylon, flax, polyester etc.;
  • Knowledge of sewing techniques and industrial machines: linear, overlock, buttonhole, invisible etc..
  • Extreme attention to detail;
  • Excellent ability to work in a team;
  • Problem-solving, flexibility and autonomous organization of work;
  • Respect for priorities.
