Job Purpose:

Serve as a service‑excellence ambassador, responsible for driving retail capability, uplifting service standards, and enhancing commercial performance across Burberry Japan. This role manages the delivery of retail training, develops store talent, and ensures the Burberry service philosophy is consistently brought to life across all Japan retail locations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in‑store training personally, including selling skills, brand rituals, clienteling, and service excellence programs.
  • Conduct frequent store visits to observe customer experience, coach teams, assess service execution, and identify training gaps.
  • Partner with Store Managers and Retail Managers to coach on service excellence and elevate the overall store experience.
  • Ensure consistent message delivery, training quality, and effective time prioritization across Japan retail stores.
  • Localize and adapt global training content for the Japan retail environment.
  • Support store leadership capability development through coaching moments and targeted learning programs.
  • Share insights on product experience, and customer engagement improvements.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience in retail training, ideally in luxury fashion retail
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • Training design and facilitation capability
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
