JOB PURPOSE
The Client Advisor role is integral to Burberry’s mission of providing unparalleled client experiences. Reporting to our store management team, you will build and nurture strong relationships with new and returning clients by understanding their needs, preferences, and aspirations. This role demands a refined expertise in luxury fashion and styling, coupled with a genuine passion for the brand and its heritage.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Service and Sales Excellence
- Consistently achieve and surpass individual and store sales targets, leveraging your knowledge and passion to drive commercial performance.
- Create engaging client experiences by sharing Burberry’s rich heritage and product stories, fostering deep emotional connections that inspire client loyalty.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge in luxury fashion, styling, and product details to offer personalised and informed advice.
- Follow the client's journey meticulously—from first impression, discovery, styling expertise, closing the sale, through to dedicated after-sales service.
- Support daily store operations by maintaining the highest standards of presentation and organisation, assisting with inventory management, markdown processes, and stockroom upkeep as needed.
- Uphold Burberry’s brand standards and procedures, employing creative visual merchandising techniques to enhance the in-store environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to foster a supportive and positive workplace culture.
Client Engagement and Relationship Building
- Develop and sustain meaningful client relationships through personalised service and tailored outreach, including appointment-based consultations.
- Identify and engage new luxury clients to expand and diversify the store’s client book, always with a focus on commercial objectives.
- Drive client retention by actively maintaining contact, responding promptly to enquiries, and following up to ensure continued satisfaction and repeat business.
PERSONAL PROFILE
To excel as a Client Advisor at Burberry, you will bring a proven record of outstanding sales achievement and client engagement within the luxury retail sector.
- Experience in clientelling and delivering personalised, high-end customer service.
- A deep passion and understanding of fashion, art, and culture, combined with strong product knowledge.
- Familiarity with retail operations and competitor landscape to inform sales strategies.
- Fluency in the local language is essential, with proficiency in English and additional languages considered advantageous.
- Core personal attributes include confidence, curiosity, conviction, and care, enabling authentic and proactive client interactions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, confident in engaging clients and collaborating with colleagues at all levels.
