JOB PURPOSE


The core purpose of the role is to analyse commercial performance and turn them into actionable insights to support Burberry’s growth and strategic ambition. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this role will have three main focuses: business intelligence, retail performance, and strategic support. As the Business Analyst, you will run a variety of analysis on internal performance, focusing on our directly operated stores business, and devise action plans to improve performance  


RESPONSIBILITIES


Business intelligence 
•    Deliver comprehensive weekly / monthly / quarterly and annual performance reports for directly operated stores; highlight key KPI trends, e.g., traffic, conversion, and insights, identifying opportunities and risks
•    Conduct ad hoc deep-dives for the region as needed to support the business 

 

Retail Performance 
•    Manage retail performance programs (commercial targets, incentives etc.); own end-to-end process from defining schemes, setting targets and tracking/communicating results
•    Develop retail dashboards / reporting to support accountability within directly operated stores network 
•    Be the liaison with our store leadership teams to understand market trends and anticipate needs  

 

Strategic support  
•    Support with project management and implementation of key strategic projects
•    Support with executive meetings, e.g., Board papers, CEO business reviews, annual budget process

 

PERSONAL PROFILE


•    Bachelors degree required 
•    Professional experience in a similar role, with ideally min. 2 years of prior work experience 
•    Luxury retail experience or similar an advantage 
•    Ability to analyse large and complex amounts of data
•    Ability to work across multiple levels of the organisation 
•    Ability to interpret data and communicate in a concise and relevant way to various stakeholders 
•    Ability to think strategically
•    Ability to have high level of attention to detail 
•    Advanced Excel skills 
•    Advanced Powerpoint skills 
•    Inquisitive and organised

•    Expected base salary for the role will generally be between $95,000.00 and $105,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

 

•    This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
