JOB PURPOSE
The Client Advisor role is at the heart of our retail experience, tasked with fostering meaningful, lasting relationships with both new and returning clients. Reporting to store management, you will serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for Burberry, delivering an elevated and personalised luxury service that reflects our rich heritage and contemporary vision.
You will inspire clients through thoughtful storytelling, expert styling advice, and tailored product recommendations, ensuring every interaction embodies the passion and craftsmanship behind the Burberry brand. This position requires a deep understanding of client engagement, a flair for sales, and a commitment to excellence in customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Service and Sales: Exceed individual and store sales targets, while meeting all key commercial performance indicators.
- Engage clients through compelling storytelling that conveys Burberry's values, craftsmanship, and the uniqueness of our collections, cultivating desire and loyalty.
- Provide expert advice on product features, fashion trends, and styling, tailoring each recommendation to the individual client’s needs and preferences.
- Manage the entire client journey—ensuring a welcoming initial impression, personalised discovery processes, strong product knowledge application, confident closing of sales, and consistent relationship nurturing.
- Deliver exemplary after-sales support and follow-up to guarantee client satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Contribute actively to daily operational tasks, maintaining impeccable luxury standards across front and back-of-house areas, ensuring product availability and effective inventory management.
- Uphold Burberry’s visual merchandising guidelines, supporting presentation standards that reinforce the brand’s premium positioning.
- Promote a positive, cohesive team environment through collaboration and open communication.
- Client Engagement: Proactively build and sustain meaningful relationships, both through scheduled appointments and spontaneous interactions.
- Actively seek opportunities to attract new luxury clients, expanding the client book with a clear commercial focus.
- Maintain client retention by conducting regular, personalised outreach and ensuring all client requests and sales follow-ups are handled promptly and professionally.
PERSONAL PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated success in sales roles within luxury retail, consistently achieving or surpassing targets.
- Experience in clienteling, with a strong understanding of client relationship management techniques and best practices.
- Genuine passion for fashion, art, and culture, with a keen ability to translate this into customer engagement.
- Extensive product knowledge and understanding of store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales processes.
- Awareness of competitor brands and market trends to effectively position Burberry in the luxury marketplace.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups and hierarchies.
- Fluency in the local language; proficiency in English and additional languages is advantageous and encouraged.
