JOB PURPOSE

The Regional Ops Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational effectiveness of the retail stores in assigned region. This individual is also responsible for developing, leading and executing the operations strategy for the US in close partnership with, the Operations Field Team, Sr. Management, Retail Standards & Ops & in-store Operations teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Evaluate Operations in the stores on a regular basis and ensure all store standards are in place and aligned to Burberry’s Global standards. Support and maintain high operational efficiency within stores
  • Oversee store projects, construction, minor works and renovations in partnership with regional Standards & Ops, Design & Construction Teams. Ensure effective project management of store projects.
  • Oversee & deliver the rollout of assigned projects in collaboration with Regional & Global Cross functional teams.
  • Work closely with Market Director and Manager(s) within market to support Retail Standards & Operations strategies.
  • Ensure all key communications are cascaded to store teams to in a timely manner to enable clear and concise communications.
  • Coach and Develop store operational teams in partnership with store management
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive and deliver end-to-end process controls
  • Ensure all employees are trained in Burberry’s Standards and Operational policies. This includes new hires as well as tenured employees.
  • Ensure all policies are enforced by Management within region and are consistent and cohesive with all regions in the Americas, and globally.
  • In partnership with Retail Shared Services support and drive the accuracy of stock controls within stores.
  • Host weekly/bi-weekly operational calls within region.
  • Work closely with IT to ensure retail changes are managed, prioritized and controlled effectively, and store technical solutions are fit for purpose and aligned to the customer experience/journey.
  • Support store Operations with maintenance and repairs within Landport.
  • Provide support and guidance to store teams on ad hoc process queries.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Experience of delivering within a Retail or Customer-driven environment.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office 365 applications.
  • Familiar with & proficient in retail math.
  • Organized, efficient, self-motivated, solution-oriented individual.
  • Works well as both team leader & team member.
  • Ability to react to change.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication & time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Up to 80 - 100% travel required.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with peers and cross-functional business partners.
  • Issue resolution experience
  • POS and Payments experience preferable
  • Strong execution skills
  • Excellent team management skills
  • Highly organized; ability to work under pressure & manage multiple tasks
  • Able to mediate and negotiate to resolve conflictAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, as well as interface and manage external partners and vendors.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years of experience in luxury retail management; 2+ years in multi store operational role
  • Retail store experience, preferably with a luxury brand.
  • Multi store or corporate retail expedience leading stores in an operational role is a plus.
  • SAP Retail & Oracle experience is a plus.
  • POS and Payments experience preferable.
  • End to end project management.
