Trade Compliance Manager - FTC

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a Trade Compliance Information Systems Manager at Burberry on a Fixed term contract,  to work across multiple Product projects, bridging the gap between business compliance needs and technical requirements on technology and reporting projects in the portfolio.  You will work in partnership with business experts and technology teams to identify & implement solutions to meet the needs of evolving customs compliance business models.  This role is reporting to the Trade Compliance Information Systems Senior Manager. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Move from high-level project discussions to detailed customs requirements, supporting test teams with scoped test scripts.

  • Communicate requirements to data, solution and development teams to co-create effective solutions.

  • Map and deliver process changes with stakeholders while upholding enterprise data and information principles.

  • Work with project managers and Solution Architects to manage scope and change requests.

  • Prepare and run workshops, identifying gaps and creating materials.

  • Lead UAT and prioritise defects with project teams.

  • Maintain consistent BA methodologies across the domain.

  • Deliver end-user training and provide hypercare support.

PERSONAL PROFILE

 

  • Strong background in delivering customs trade compliance software, with involvement in major IT transformation projects.

  • Knowledge of SAP (AFS and S4) and MIC or similar global trade compliance solutions.

  • Proven experience across design, build and implementation phases.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, high attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work independently and lead cross-functional, cross-organisational initiatives.

 

EXPERIENCE 

  • Trade Compliance/Customs background with delivery of at least one full Business Analyst project lifecycle across both Waterfall and Agile.

  • Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills, plus experience creating and delivering end-user training.

  • Comfortable managing senior stakeholders; retail fashion sector knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
