JOB PURPOSE
As a Designer, Architecture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our global retail portfolio. Working within the Architecture Design Studio, you will collaborate across store concepts and regions to conceptualise and design experiential luxury retail environments that reflect our brand vision. This role blends a high level creative output with detailed architectural design, spanning facades, store layouts, furniture, fixtures, finishes, and experiential spaces. You will generate and develop innovative ideas that translate into distinctive, luxury retail destinations across varied formats, while operating confidently within a fast paced, dynamic environment where agility and decisive design thinking are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead flagship and high‑complexity retail design projects, driving concept creation, spatial strategy, and experiential innovation.
- Develop and present highly creative design ideas, using strong visualisation skills (sketches, renders, 3D models) to communicate concepts and ideas.
- Work independently with confident, concise decision‑making, progressing design work with minimal oversight.
- Produce comprehensive detailed design drawing packs, including facades, layouts, elevations, reflected ceiling plans and site‑specific construction details, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with brand standards.
- Conduct design research and trend analysis, translating insights into elevated retail experiences and commercially relevant opportunities.
- Create refined design outputs including mood boards, material palettes, detailed drawings, and technical documentation for internal teams and external partners.
- Manage external studios and specialist consultants, overseeing and reviewing detail design packs, construction drawings, and technical deliverables.
- Source and integrate innovative materials and techniques, pushing creative boundaries while maintaining practicality and longevity.
- Strong ability to think creatively, refining ideas through feedback and contributing to a high‑performance design culture.
- Demonstrate strong technical proficiency in Vectorworks, 3D modelling and rendering software.
- Excellent visual storytelling and presentation skills, able to communicate ideas to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to mentor junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced luxury retail environment.
- Deep understanding of luxury retail standards, customer behaviour, and brand experience design.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making clear decisions, and driving projects forward independently
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Degree level in Architecture or Interior Design
- Minimum 7years of experience in Luxury retail design.
- Relevant practical experience of architecture design within luxury retail
- Technical capability and ability to influence and negotiate confidently with cross-functional partners
- Knowledge of current market trends and competitor approaches
- Well organised, flexible and adaptable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and share information effectively
- Collaborative team member.
- Fluency in English essential
