Social Media Assistant
JOB TITLE: SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT
REPORTS TO: SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

PURPOSE
The Social Media Assistant is the foundation of the Social Media team and an
integral member of the wider Channel Innovation team. A strategic thinker with
incredible attention-to-detail, you will have a keen interest and understanding of the
social media landscape - including content ideation and optimisation, publishing
algorithms, building and engaging communities, planning and execution of socially-
led campaigns, social listening and reporting.
You are passionate about social and the way it connects people. You understand the
complexities and nuances because you are an avid user, on the pulse of upcoming
trends and platforms in an emerging space with an inherent understanding of social-
first content. You are naturally curious, always seeking out best practice examples
and a forward-thinking approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support in the flawless day-to-day execution of our channels.
- The social lead for copy briefing, liaising with global teams to compile briefs -
including central (London) and APAC.
- Owning weekly and monthly reporting across different KPIs including
engagement and listening.
- Decode metrics to provide insights around any specific subject, utilising social
tooling and platform capabilities.
- Contribute creatively by sharing platform-native ideas, suggesting platform
native creators and support on APAC channels.
- Actively contribute to creative conversations around content ideation,
suggesting creators and partners with a finger on the pulse of social trends.
- Confidently communicate your ideas through the building of effective working
relationships with global teams.
- Lead communications with regional social and digital teams, keeping them uo
to date with global marketing plans and interpretting local nuance. Supporting
the wider teams with updates on local social planning.
- Through an understanding of platform nuances, suggest different publishing
levers to optimise performance.
EXPERIENCE
- In-depth knowledge of all western social platforms and native content,
including not limited to: Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Pinterest, Snap,
YouTube.
- An understanding of Asian social networks is essential, including but not
limited to:
WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Red Book, Line, Kakao.
- An analytical mind with an undersanding of social metrics, and how to
interpret that data into actionable insights and learnings.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn; a self-starting
attitude and enthusiasm is a must.
- An exceptional communicator - confident in presenting ideas and social
thinking to different parts of the business and stakeholders.
- Possess a BA/BSc, or similar.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Ensure daily end-to-end planning, executing and reporting on organic social
channels.
- Consistently drive performance through exceptional publishing execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships cross-team relationships with a focus
on central function and APAC.
- Own, update and present the collaborator bank on a regular basis, a bible of
brand-aligned social collaborators.
- Maximise KPls through actionable insights and presentations to stakeholders
