JOB PURPOSE
As the Senior Manager, IT Procurement at Burberry, you’ll lead and shape the category strategy across IT (from Source to Contract), leveraging data-driven insights, leading complex technology sourcing initiatives, managing supplier due diligence, and ensuring effective contract and supplier relationship management in alignment with Burberry’s business objectives.
You’ll support Burberry’s technology agenda, while providing oversight of risk and compliance to ensure best-in-class procurement outcomes. By shaping and driving the procurement strategy across IT, you’ll deliver commercial value, cost optimisation, innovation, and operational resilience.
This Senior Manager, IT Procurement role is offered on a full time, permanent basis and is based in our Horseferry House, London office for a minimum of 3 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead complex IT sourcing across key subcategories, aligned with business and tech strategies
- Partner with global senior stakeholders to drive cost efficiency, scalability, and innovation
- Develop strategic category plans using spend data, market insights, and supplier intelligence
- Oversee sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting with focus on TCO and risk
- Manage supplier onboarding and due diligence, ensuring cybersecurity and regulatory compliance
- Drive supplier relationship and contract lifecycle management to maximise performance and value
- Report on category performance, including savings, supplier KPIs, and risk metrics
- Contribute to procurement strategy as part of the leadership team; lead transformation initiatives
- Coach and mentor team members, promoting development and knowledge sharing
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Extensive experience in a strategic procurement or sourcing role, with expertise in the IT category
- Track record of leading complex sourcing projects and negotiations with major vendors, delivering measurable commercial, contractual, and strategic value
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders
- Ability to drive results, owning end-to-end category outcomes and proactively resolving issues to maintain momentum and alignment
- Commercially astute with a strategic mindset, capable of balancing cost, quality, risk, and innovation in supplier and contract decisions
- Strong analytical and financial skills, including proficiency with Excel and spend analysis tools, for business case development and reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Adaptable and resilient, with a positive, forward-looking approach in fast-paced and evolving business environments
- Self-motivated and team-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to mentor others and contribute to a high-performance culture
