Job Purpose

We are hiring a Senior Internal Audit Manager, Information Technology to play a pivotal role in strengthening Burberry’s global governance, risk and control environment. Reporting to the Audit Director, you will provide independent, insightful assurance across technology, data and digital change, supporting confident decision‑making at Executive and Board level. This role combines technical depth with commercial perspective, partnering closely with senior stakeholders across Burberry’s global operations.
 

Responsibilities

  • Shape and deliver Burberry’s IT audit agenda by assessing technology risk, change initiatives and control effectiveness across the business.
  • Lead and oversee specialist IT audits, including the management of co‑sourced providers, ensuring high‑quality, timely and value‑led outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit leadership to evolve the Audit Universe and Annual Audit Plan, continuously challenging and improving approach and coverage.
  • Oversee audit delivery, workload planning and integrated audit activity, including automated controls and the use of data‑enabled techniques.
  • Review audit work to ensure robust evidence, clear conclusions and alignment with Internal Audit methodology and IIA standards.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior IT leaders and contribute to Audit Committee and Executive reporting.

Personal Profile

  • Significant experience delivering risk‑based IT internal audits within complex, global environments.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise systems, IT infrastructure and technology governance frameworks.
  • Confident engaging senior stakeholders, able to communicate complex issues clearly and influence constructive change.
  • A collaborative leader who supports, coaches and develops others while maintaining high standards.
  • Commercially minded, adaptable and comfortable operating in a changing technology and business landscape.
  • Self‑directed, organised and motivated to add value with integrity and independence.
