  • Champion the employee experience by ensuring confidential, impartial and thorough investigations are completed into employee concerns, with a focus on supporting effective early resolution of employee concerns.
  • Ensure appropriate systems and processes are maintained to encourage employees to raise concerns, ensure appropriate actions are taken to correct any issues, both for the individual employee and to prevent future concerns
  • Carry out sensitive employee investigations.




  • Maintain a comprehensive mechanism for colleagues globally to “raise their hand” with any HR related complaints. Ensure this process is fully understood and accessible by all colleagues.
  • Create and maintain scalable global employee investigation strategies and processes
  • Review and assess current employee investigation practices, improving them to ensure we promote fairness while mitigating risk to the organisation
  • Advocate early resolution mechanisms, taking opportunities to support and educate leaders in utilising effective dispute resolution tools.
  • Champion the Company’s commitment to non-retaliation/victimisation for those raising concerns. Ensure that this commitment is widely communicated and maintained, to minimise the risk of fear of retaliation deterring employees from raising concerns.
  • Leverage data and analysis to ensure a complete understanding of colleague’s concerns is available to management, allowing identification of emerging trends or hotspots, working with the HR teams to proactive strategies to provide a positive employee experience and mitigate risk to the business.
  • Prepare regular reports to the Board and ExCo.
  • Design and deliver investigator’s training and guidance across the HR and wider populations.
  • Champion Employee Experience by supporting equitable resolutions to employee and labour relations disputes by providing clear, impartial analysis of the facts behind disputes.
  • Build and maintain progressive working relationships with relevant Government bodies, employer federations and benchmarking groups.
  • Develop effective partnerships and consult with business partners through the org including HRBPS, HR COEs, Asset & Profit Protection, Legal, and Health & Safety.



  • Significant experience of carrying out employee investigations, preferably on a cross border basis
  • Successful record of creating, improving and executing programs at scale and ability to drive and measure program effectiveness
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law within UK, with experience in Asia or USA a strong advantage
  • Experience of alternative dispute resolution
  • Proven track record of managing multiple cases concurrently, with very strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders within a matrixed organisation
  • Retail experience an advantage
  • Ability to challenge openly and have difficult conversations
  • Experience of interpreting data and translating it into actionable strategy and recommendations
