Senior Manager, Group Financial Reporting - 12 month FTC

JOB PURPOSE

 

As the Senior Manager, Group Financial Reporting at Burberry, you'll have responsibility for the consolidation of the Group financial results, including monthly management reporting, statutory reporting and impairment accounting. 

 

This Senior Manager, Group Financial Reporting role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract and will be based in out Horseferry House, London office for a minimum of 3 days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Consolidation of Group results on a monthly basis, and review of consolidated results and operation of controls to ensure integrity 
  • Lead contact for consolidation support and questions, working closely with other Finance teams across the business
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly analysis of Group working capital and cash flow
  • Aggregation of Group results and overlay of consolidation adjustments for the  forecast and budget processes
  • Managing forecast and budget timetable in collaboration with the Financial Planning & Analysis team
  • Overseeing the impairment review process across the Group’s portfolio of stores using budget and forecast projections
  • Review of impairment disclosures for Group statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting policies. Drafting report to audit committee on asset impairments
  • Liaison with external auditors to support audit testing of impairment models and assumptions. 
  • Responsible for consolidation of Group results for Interim and Year End statutory reporting, including drafting of primary statements
  • Ownership of consolidation adjustments
  • Participation (as part of Group Finance team) in the preparation of the Interim and Annual reports
  • Line management of two Accountants

PERSONAL PROFILE

 

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or international equivalent)
  • Experience at a manager/senior manager level in industry
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and UK reporting requirements for listed groups
  • Experience of consolidation systems and consolidation in multicurrency groups 
  • Exposure to impairment accounting would be advantageous
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Financial control mindset 
  • Proven leadership and team management skills 
  • Demonstrates a very high level of ownership and responsibility 
  • Ability to work with and influence stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate to executive management where required 
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects
