We are looking for a high caliber individual to join our fast-expanding team of data scientists and support our ambitious strategy in delivering impact and maximising business performance through data.


The candidate will be accountable for delivering robust analytics and cutting-edge data-driven tools to help us uncover and improve our current processes as well as deepen our understanding of our consumers and their relationship with our brand. Developing the future analytics products to support our business growth as well as positively impact our customers experience, the candidate will have the opportunity to directly impact the future of our brand. As a senior team member, the candidate will also be responsible to supervise and manage a small team of junior data scientists, guiding them to deliver against our roadmap and business objectives.


The ideal candidate should be an expert in statistical modelling and use of machine learning techniques and demonstrate a natural passion in analysing data and delivering business impact through data-driven solutions. Working with the latest and fast-evolving big data technologies, natural curiosity combined with aptitude and diligence can prove essential for success.

  • Generating robust analytics and insights to support and inform our ongoing data strategy
  • Developing new cutting-edge Machine Learning models and data-driven tools to support our business stakeholder’s strategy and drive future business performance
  • Optimising and evolving the current models and analytics solutions that are in production
  • Presenting the analytics solutions, models and insights to a range of business stakeholders and contributing to strategic decisions
  • Managing a small team of data scientists and being responsible for their development and career
  • Supervising and overlooking the work of their team members, ensuring both quality and validity of their work and working together to deliver the data science roadmap
  • Working within cross-functional teams and delivering under an agile project based framework
  • Staying up-to-date with latest trends in analytics and technology and challenging the status quo.
  • Advanced degree, MSc or PhD in a quantitative field (eg Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering etc.)
  • Significant experience working as a Data Scientist in a commercial environment
  • Experience in the retail sector or other customer focused and/or digital business is preferred
  • Proven personal portfolio of projects where analytics and data science were used to drive business value and decisions
  • Good understanding and interest on how data science can be applied in retail and more specifically luxury fashion
  • Strong in problem-solving, combining both a logical and innovative approach
  • Proven, extensive, hands on, experience in analysing large sets of data – from gathering, cleansing and processing to summarising, modelling and visualising
  • Solid foundation in the fundamentals of mathematics and statistics
  • Good, in-depth, understanding and extensive practical use of statistical and Machine Learning techniques
  • Solid foundation in programming and proficient in Python with extensive hands on experience. Additional experience with other high-level programming languages is an advantage
  • Proficiency in at least one querying language (SQL, Hive, Impala, etc)
  • Working experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc)
  • Strong desire and proven ability to continuously learn new software, technologies and methodologies and keep up with the fast-evolving field of big data
  • Collaborative approach to work, working in teams towards delivering a business objective
  • Natural people developing attitude, demonstrated by sharing expertise and learning with other team members, as well as equally eager to learn from others and grow
  • Ability to supervise and assist more junior members on their projects and guide them towards delivering the business objectives
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements in an analytical framework and produce a project plan towards a deliverable
  • Ability to identify gaps and opportunities where analytics can drive business value
  • Self-starter mentality, able to plan their workload to autonomously deliver their long-term projects 
  • Strong time management skills and ability to plan and prioritise over multiple requests
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex analytics to a cross-functional audience.
