JOB PURPOSE
Burberry is looking for a talented Senior Communications Manager to join the Marketing Team. This is a senior regional role within the EMEIA Communications team, responsible for shaping and executing impactful earned media strategies across key UK, European and Middle Eastern, markets. In this position you will oversee a team based in London, while managing PR agencies in Paris, Milan, and Dubai. You will drive local amplification of global brand moments and ensure the brand’s visibility and influence in culturally and commercially critical markets across the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and lead the execution of the EMEIA communications strategy across seasonal launches, product drops, campaigns, events, talent moments, and special projects, ensuring maximum visibility and resonance in key regional markets.
- Manage the in-house EMEIA PR team based in London, overseeing day-to-day operations, team development and performance against KPIs.
- Oversee PR agencies in Paris, Milan, and Dubai, ensuring alignment with regional strategy, consistency in messaging, and delivery of best-in-class earned media activity. Act as the key point of contact and escalation for agency performance, planning, and reporting.
- Lead on paid special projects and wider regional features, including print or digital cover stories, editorial collaborations, and media partnerships. Responsible for developing strategy, leading negotiations with partners, aligning messaging with brand priorities, and managing execution end-to-end.
- Work closely with the Director to localise global communications toolkits, adapting messaging and press materials to ensure regional relevance while maintaining brand integrity.
- Own communications strategy and execution for key regional events, including show-related activations, press days, previews, and talent moments. Lead guest list planning, invitation strategy, media handling, and post-event reporting.
- Ensure the smooth running of the regional press office, overseeing sample trafficking, showroom management, and asset distribution across multiple markets. Collaborate with the PR Assistant and wider marketing operations team to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner with the marketing team to support regional brand partnerships, product launches, and franchise retail moments, delivering earned media coverage that aligns with commercial priorities.
- Advise on and oversee franchise partner PR activity, ensuring brand alignment and offering strategic input and resources where required.
- Lead the analysis of media performance across the region, using tools such as DMR and Launchmetrics to measure share of voice, sentiment, and ROI.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key editors and stylists across fashion capitals.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- 7+ years’ experience in fashion/luxury PR, including 2+ years in a regional leadership role; strong team management, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of the UK media landscape, with high-level press and stylist contacts. Familiarity with the media landscapes in France, Italy, and the Middle East is a plus. Skilled in managing PR agencies across international markets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic communications campaigns with measurable impact; commercially minded with a deep understanding of brand-building in a luxury context.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; skilled in writing and editing press materials; experienced in major events and VIP dressing.
- Proficient in tools such as DMR, Launchmetrics, and sample tracking platforms; fluent in English, with French, Italian, or Arabic as a plus.
