JOB PURPOSE
Burberry is looking for a skilled SEO Specialist to join the Performance Media team in Marketing. Within this role you will report to the SEO manager and carry out initiatives outlined in the SEO roadmap. You will also support the team with day-to-day duties, with the aim of improving Burberry’s organic search visibility globally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- As an e-commerce-focused SEO Specialist, you will utilise your skills to build out and implement Burberry’s content & technical roadmap.
- Analyse and benchmark organic search performance using a variety of tools such as Google Search Console, Baidu Webmaster Tools, Naver Search Advisor, Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics & Other internal reporting tools.
- Track & monitor search engine behaviour, keeping on top of search algorithm updates and keyword positions using Semrush & Dragon Metrics.
- Continuously make and suggest optimisations based on SEO best practices, including but not limited to meta tags, page structure and keyword placement across a variety of page types such as product listing pages (PLPs), product detail pages (PDPs) and long-form content pages.
- Align keyword research with brand guidelines and TOV (Tone of voice), focusing on branded, product and non-brand terms to maximise rankings and visibility on the SERPs – looking into metrics such as search volume, keyword difficulty & search intent as well as other industry trends.
- Utilising in-depth knowledge of luxury fashion to perform competitor analysis and transform this into actionable insights.
- Working closely with a wide range of teams, such as UX, IT, Content, Copy, Transcreation, Marketing and Merchandising to build and manage strong stakeholder relationships as well as with multiple external agencies with a focus on APAC & local SEO.
- Ensuring technical expertise is implemented and adhered to with all current on-site projects, aligning with SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with the performance media team to maximise paid spend efficiency.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Strong passion for advancing a career in SEO with a focus on both technical and content optimisation.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, including the importance of technical SEO, and familiarity with industry trends, tools, and algorithms.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on user analysis to improve user experience and website performance.
- Hands-on experience with technical and content SEO, including knowledge of HTML, Schema/JSON markup, and JavaScript.
- Proficient in project management software and well-organised to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Project management can encompass working on smaller content initiatives in Asana as well as larger technical tickets in Jira.
- Interest in luxury fashion and e-commerce, with experience working with search engines like Google, Baidu, and Naver for global SEO strategies.
- Having a second language is advantageous (not essential) – as a global role you will be expected to optimise for multiple territories across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania.
