JOB PURPOSE

Coordinate the effective and efficient management of Raw Materials across the RTW Sampling procurement process, achieving and exceeding functional quality standards, through a strong and competent supplier base, strategically sounds relationships and sounds technical knowledge. Contribute in optimising efficiencies in ordering, cost negotiation, RM stock management and on time delivery.

The role covers the management of the inbound/outbound of sampling RMs to and from warehouse, as well as issuing PO and invoices, declaring seasonal sampling leftover. This role is also responsible to create RM codes in FlexPLM, update RM details, onboarding new suppliers and adding/maintaining RM sustainable attributes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate the timely order & delivery of the raw materials required for sampling, including cost and leadtime negotiation.

 

Procurement & Supplier Management:

  • Ensure all suppliers are ontime with shipments, managing team to monitor deliveries to ensure they arrive on time.
  • Overall view of PO management for sample orders - organising and recording all invoices.
  • Ensure the effective execution of sampling RM activities in line with the critical path.
  • Manage the inbound/outbound of sampling materials from the third part warehouse and issue POs and invoices.
  • Organising, filing and archiving samples, swatches and raw materials.
  • Responsible for ensuring team have accurate data on internal files & systems (PLM) inc. product set up.
  • Onboarding new suppliers.
  • Managing and checking the RMs sustainable credentials in the system.
  • Partner with the Raw Material Development team and maintain continuous dialogue to understand ongoing business needs & future aspirations.
  • Develop, maintain and evolve a robust supplier matrix.
  • Build & establish collaborative partnerships with key suppliers, including timely 2 way communications & risk mitigation.
  • Assist in the end to end management activities of the supplier base (including selecting & on boarding, negotiation, matrix & risk management, capacity management, performance & exit).
  • Participate actively in the negotiation of cost, lead time and minimums of RMs.
  • Contribute and support sustainable materials & data accuracy.
  • Track supplier performance in line with KPIs set.
  • Contribute to elevate technical knowledge and competency.

 

Feedback & Reporting:

  • Review supplier performance management feedback & agree appropriate response mechanism.
  • Report on KPIs.
  • Ensure effective use of systems and maintenance & accuracy of data.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • University Degree in Textile Engineering or equivalent in experience.
  • Systems Management knowledge and skills:
    • Microsoft office
    • Flex PLM, pre-order management tool
    • Delivery tracking
  • Strong influencing/negotiation skills.
  • Strong industry knowledge.
  • Negotiate capacity, minimums, and price; provide visibility of RM production status and inventory. Publish updates on RM supplier performance
  • Key link between RM Design & Development. Ensure RM sampling approved/counter-sourced on time, provide visibility of RM supplier performance
  • Monitor forecasts of core programmes.
  • Negotiate capacity, minimums, and price - measure RM supplier performance
