JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is looking for a talented Product Development Purchasing Administrator to join the Product Development Operations team in London. In this position you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the team, assisting with day-to-day operational tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Raise, manage and maintain all departmental POs to ensure accurate budget/spend reporting and timely vendor payments, while monitoring departmental budgets through spend reports and participation in weekly meetings.
  • Sample and stock management through routine vendor follow up, creation and use of shared trackers, cross‑functional partnership, and organising, filing and archiving samples, swatches and raw materials.
  • Partner with Showroom teams to provide accurate product details and information.
  • Provide training for internal teams based internationally by leading meetings, creating guides and acting as the main point of contact for all queries.
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors through clear, consistent communication, successful negotiation and effective problem‑solving strategies.
  • Provide administrative support to the Product Development team, including support with ad hoc and seasonal activities.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Strong attention to detail with experience handling large volumes of data entry, ensuring complete accuracy and speed.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at pace with flexibility, initiative and a solution‑orientated approach.
  • Strong organisational skills combined with good communication skills, able to clearly and concisely share information with the team. 
  • Strong computer skills, including SAP, Excel and PLM.
