Product Developer, Childrenswear (knitwear)

JOB PURPOSE
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Design as a trusted technical counterpart, contributing to fittings and advising on feasibility while protecting creative intent.
- Manage the product development critical path from concept through pre‑production, proactively identifying and resolving risks.
- Build strong, transparent relationships with global vendors, aligning capability, capacity, cost and quality expectations.
- Deliver high‑quality prototypes and samples on time, aligned to margin and performance requirements.
- Ensure products are fit for purpose through rigorous attention to functionality, consistency and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date product information within PLM systems throughout the development lifecycle.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Proven experience in product development within knitwear, with strong technical understanding.
- Confident working collaboratively with designers, translating creative vision into technically viable product.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to balance design ambition, cost and delivery timelines.
- Experienced in vendor partnership, including factory engagement and clear technical briefing.
- Detail‑oriented and organised, with a structured approach to managing multiple workstreams.
- Clear communicator who works effectively across cross‑functional teams and diverse cultures.
