JOB PURPOSE
This role supports mainline planning across the EMEIA region within Burberry’s regional merchandising organisation. Operating as a key commercial partner, the Regional Planner will support the region’s sales, margin, and inventory ambitions while embodying Burberry’s values and fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and collaboration. The role drives planning accuracy, commercial insight, and in‑season agility to ensure that the EMEIA region optimises inventory performance and delivers strong financial outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Planning Excellence (Mainline EMEIA)
- Own and manage the Rolling Open to Buy (OTB) for EMEIA, ensuring accurate forecasting and monthly updates to the Corporate OTB.
- Develop and deliver the Seasonal Collection OTB, partnering closely with the Merchandising Director & team, Regional Merchants, Central Planning, and store cluster owners.
- Produce robust hindsight analysis to influence future buy strategy and strengthen collection development decisions.
- Review and align Seasonal Collection Buys with Merchandising, focusing on key investments, productivity KPIs, and EMEIA‑specific OTB parameters.
- Monitor in‑season trade performance to identify EMEIA‑level opportunities and risks across markets, elevating insight to drive timely commercial action.
- Support the review of Replenishment and Carry Forward forecasting at SKU/line level, overseeing EMEIA availability, weeks of cover, and procurement targets.
- Partner with Merchants to deliver both in‑season trading decisions and long‑term category growth strategies, aligned to regional performance ambitions.
- Accountable for EMEIA hub and transfer decisions, ensuring inventory movement supports availability and commercial priorities across the region.
- Collaborate closely with the RTW Planning Lead to ensure planning alignment, process consistency, and shared best practices across EMEIA.
PERSONAL PROFILE
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Proven experience in Business Planning, ideally within fashion retail, merchandising, or inventory planning.
- Strong understanding of OTB management and planning systems (preferred).
- Highly analytical with strong Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large data sets across multiple markets.
- Demonstrated ability to business‑partner across diverse seniority levels and regional structures.
- Adaptable, proactive, commercially curious, and able to navigate ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information for regional stakeholders.
