JOB PURPOSE
As a Planner at Burberry, you will drive mainline planning activities in the EMEIA region, responsible for:
- Creating, updating and managing the Rolling Open to Buy
- Aligning, partnering and collaborating with the Merchandising, Allocation, Regional Finance and Central Planning teams to drive Open to Buy, opportunities and risks, markdown strategy and inventory management
- Responsible for commercial insights to drive in-season decision making by maximising inventory efficiency and deliver margin targets
- Review and align on Replenishment & Carry Forward sales forecasts, weeks of cover and target procurement levels
This Planner - EMEIA role is offered on a full time, permanent basis and will be based in our Horseferry House, London office for 3/4 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Planning Excellence (Mainline)
- Forecast the Rolling Open to Buy and update the monthly Corporate OTB
- Implement Seasonal Collection Open to Buy, by partnering with Regional Merchants and Central Teams including a focus on store clusters
- Responsible for preparing hindsight analysis to input into the Seasonal Collection Open to Buy process to support the creation of future collection Open to Buy
- Review Seasonal Collection Buy with Regional Merchants, focusing on key investments and OTB parameters
- Responsible for monitoring in-season trade performance and highlighting sales and inventory opportunities and risks to targets
- Responsible for reviewing and alignment of Replenishment forecasts at line level including monthly sales and inventory plans and availability
- Partner with Merchants to continually manage the business through in-season analysis and long-term strategies, driving sales and maximizing margin
- Accountable for In-Region hub decisions and transfers
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Business Planning experience a must.
- Merchandising & OTB knowledge and use of planning tools preferred
- Commercial, Numerical with Strong excel skills to analyse, manipulate & interrogate large data sets
- Experience of a Business Partnering mindset and ability to manage stakeholders across a number of teams
