Merchandiser / Buyer EMEIA - Womenswear

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a Merchandiser EMEIA Womenswear to join our team on a permanent basis. You will refine and tailor assortment per door to improve productivity and drive sell-through by ensuring the right product in the right store at the right time.

In this role you will work cross-functionally, partnering with Retail, Planning, Visual Merchandising, Supply chain and Marketing teams to drive and achieve financials while delivering a consistent Brand message in all doors.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Input into product assortment by providing detailed consumer and product feedback including market information, pricing comparisons, regional requirements to central merchandising team
  • Assort and buy by store through optimizing assortments / sizing by stores
  • Prepare pre-market analysis to input into regional buying strategy for product category
  • Work side by side with planning partners to build seasonal financial plans by highlighting areas of opportunity, category sell through etc, shaping the assortment architecture of the region
  • Regular contact with key stores & regional teams to understand trade and consumer patterns whilst adapting store profiling as necessary
  • Work alongside Allocators / Merchandising Assistants to support stock infills to stores, capsules, strategic stock rebalancing
  • Track and monitor store / space productivity lead in and recommend layout and assortment changes in line with sales / stock
  • Prepare and produce seasonal Buy Analysis to direct ranging and ranking decisions during market
  • Support with recommendations of re-order to planning on rolling OTB, reorder of carry forward items, replenishment targets, maximise inventory and take all allocation opportunities.
  • Support in defining discount strategy on markdown both at an overall category level and at style detail

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some experience in Merchandising or Buying in a fast-paced Luxury or Premium Fashion environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • High commercial instinct and passion for Womenswear product
  • Excellent understanding of Fashion trends and markets both worldwide and regional
  • Able to successfully work cross-functionally at all levels and within a matrix environment
  • Strong analytical skills and customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines with strong attention to details
