JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced and commercially sharp Menswear Merchandiser to own and drive one of our key product categories end-to-end. This is a high-impact role at the heart of our product engine, responsible for leading the full merchandising lifecycle—from initial brief through to market launch and final exit.

You will play a critical part in shaping our menswear strategy, collaborating closely with Design, Sourcing, Product Development, and Planning to deliver exceptional product that resonates with our customers globally. This role also carries leadership responsibility, managing and developing an Assistant Merchandiser to support the category’s continued growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Category Ownership & Strategy

  • Drive the full product lifecycle, from concept and range planning through to exit management.
  • Develop, define, and present the seasonal range plan including pricing architecture, carry-over strategy, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Strategically own and manage raw material bookings, ensuring accurate system updates, tracking, and concise executive-level summaries.

Trading & Performance Management

  • Analyse weekly and daily performance to highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Planning to drive timely commercial actions.
  • Lead delist and markdown recommendations, presenting clear proposals to senior leadership.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead collaboration across Sourcing, Design, Product Development, and Planning teams, including ownership of critical cross-functional meetings.
  • Integrate regional and market feedback into data-driven product decisions.
  • Influence and align stakeholders at multiple levels across the organisation.

People Leadership

  • Manage, coach, and develop the Assistant Merchandiser to support their growth, performance, and progression.
  • Provide clear leadership, guidance, and support across day-to-day activities and long-term development.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of all seasonal tools, reporting, and PLM data.
  • Deliver projects end-to-end with strong execution and timely delivery.
  • Support market training initiatives and operational processes to maximise team efficiency.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Proven experience in luxury fashion merchandising, ideally within menswear.
  • Strong market awareness and heightened product sensitivity.
  • Commercial thinker with exceptional analytical ability and sound judgement.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data at pace.
  • Highly proactive, accountable, and action-oriented.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Collaborative, organised, and able to operate with clarity in a fast-moving environment.
