Group Treasury Analyst

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for preparing Treasury reports and delivering insightful analysis into the Group’s cash position and Treasury-related risks at Burberry. This includes analysing cash flow at the entity level in local currencies, as well as providing a consolidated Group view. A key aspect of the role involves consolidating Burberry Ltd’s cash flow by currency and offering detailed analysis of foreign exchange exposures. In addition, the role includes executing foreign exchange transactions and equity swap deals with the Group’s banking partners, ensuring alignment with Treasury policy and market conditions.
There is also a continuous focus on identifying opportunities to enhance Treasury reporting, bringing practices in line with market best standards and driving improved visibility and decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce Treasury reports and develop Treasury reporting to ensure they are produced efficiently
- Identify areas of improvement in reporting and develop the Treasury Management System to improve processes
- Consolidate, analyse and understand the Group’s three month cashflow forecast on monthly
- Analyse cash positions of the entities identifying funding requirements or surplus cash that can be repatriated by dividend or loan
- Work with BBS in Leeds and Hong Kong to improve the process and quality of cashflow forecasts
- Consolidate the currency cashflow forecasts from supply chain finance and FP&A to identify FX exposure and risk in Burberry Ltd
- Liaise with the local business units on the cash requirements for the following twelve months to support dividend payments or the treatment of funding requirements
- Draft dividend Step Plans for those entities which regularly pay dividends
- Support the Group FX hedging programmes by making recommendations of hedging required
- Calculate the month end close out positions for EUR and USD in Burberry Ltd
- Execute FX deals and equity swaps hedging
- Maintain and develop appropriate relationships with the banks’ Treasury desks in line with the Groups overall approach to relationship management
- Produce the monthly Treasury pack and weekly cash report
- Provide cover for the Treasury Cash Manager in their absence
- Provide ad hoc support to both Group Treasury Manager and Group Treasurer
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Graduate level or Association of Corporate Treasurers AMCT Diploma in Treasury (or other Treasury qualification) completed
- Studying for or interested in the studying for AMCT qualification (if not already completed)
- Experience of working in a multi-national corporate treasury department
- Experience of using Treasury Management System essential and TMS implementation experience and FIS Integrity use would be an advantage.
- FX dealing experience with dealing and electronic platform an advantage
