PURPOSE

To provide comprehensive analytical, reporting and operational support to the EMEIA Merchandising team, ensuring the smooth execution of planning, allocation and inventory management activities.

This is a fixed-term graduate (12 month) opportunity designed to provide practical experience and development within Burberry's Merchandising function. Working closely with the EMEIA Merchandising team, the Graduate Merchandising Assistant will gain exposure to commercial planning principles, stock allocation, inventory optimisation and business performance analysis while supporting the team's day-to-day operations. The role will provide insight into how Merchandising strategies support sales, margin and inventory performance across the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Merchandising team across pre-season and in-season activities, gaining exposure to the end-to-end allocation cycle.
  • Assist in maintaining allocation tools, reports and stock management processes.
  • Support allocation, replenishment and size profiling activities through reporting and analysis.
  • Help monitor sales, stock and inventory performance across stores and markets.
  • Assist with product launches, stock movements and seasonal allocation activities.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives, developing a broad understanding of the Merchandising function.

EXPERIENCE

  • Recent graduate 
  • Solid interest in Fashion, Luxury and Merchandising
  • Great analytical skills and confidence working with data and Excel
  • Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail
  • Proactive, curious and eager to learn
  • Collaborative team player who can adapt to a fast-paced environment
