Digital Merchandising Planning Manager

JOB PURPOSE
The Digital Planning Manager position will drive all planning and forecasting activities for Burberry’s Digital planning function.
They will be responsible for:

- Feeding into the delivery of Central Collection Open to Buy guidance and validation of Regional submissions of Collection Open to Buy in line with digital ambition plans.
- Collaborating with Merchants during market to ensure clear sales objectives are set. Working in market to roll up global and regional sales / procurement, highlighting risks and opportunities vs regional OTBs and digital ambition targets
- Delivering insightful commercial analysis in order to drive the business’ sales and sell through. Particular focus on stock availability across regions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Ambition:
- With support from Digital Commerce Manager, work on planning process driving towards achieving digital stretch plans for the coming years.
- Working with central planning function to ensure digital objectives are worked into central OTB guidance. Understanding digital sales mix, AUR and margin impact to overall business.
- Working with regional planners during regional OTB process, making sure alignment across teams. Highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Partnering with Merchants to develop robust plans across key recruitment categories – ensuring both global and regional teams understand digital requirements when developing global assortments
- Partnering with Digital Finance teams to ensure alignment across planning and finance.
Stock:
- Monitoring style and SKU level stock availability across all regions. Ensuring key styles are protected all year round.
- Closely monitor key carry forward and replenishment options stock, commitment and weeks cover. Actively working with regional and central partners to ensure digital sales are protected.
- Developing robust reporting suite flagging risks and opportunities.
Market (partnering with Merchants):
- Produce insightful, action orientated hindsights each season – presenting findings to central and regional teams in order to educate and inspire teams about digital performance.
- Develop robust targets which align to digital ambition. Making sure key recruitment categories are protected. Supporting with global roll ups, reporting on risk/opportunities vs regional OTBs
