Commercial Strategy & Performance Analyst - 12 month FTC

JOB PURPOSE
As a Commercial Strategy Analyst at Burberry, you’ll deliver research and analysis to support the development, implementation, and tracking of strategic commercial projects. You’ll also provide critical visibility into sales performance, support store planning, and manage key store data, including option capacity, fixture footprint, and productivity metrics.
This Commercial Strategy Analyst role is offered on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 12 months and will be based in our Horseferry House, London office for 3/4 days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support research and analysis to inform the definition, project management and implementation of major commercial strategy projects
- Develop and maintain reporting capability and tools to identify optimisation opportunities across the retail distribution business
- Deliver reports and presentations to inform senior stakeholders on progress across activities and overall performance and drive business decisions
- Support with the coordination of retail activation programmes (i.e., pop-ups) across functions to develop best-in-class customer experiences and determine global best practices
- Prepare materials for meetings and conferences to support the Chief Commercial Officer – including materials for Executive Committee and Board meetings
- Produce ad hoc thematic research and analysis to support corporate needs
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Experience within a top-tier top-tier consulting organisation, investment bank or within the fashion/luxury industry
- Retail experience is an advantage
- Advance Excel skills required, with working knowledge of Tableau and SQL desirable
- Strong written and PPT capabilities required
- Strong financial and analytical background
- Ability to think strategically
- Ability to work across multiple levels and functional areas of the organisation
