JOB PURPOSE
Burberry is looking for a skilled Assistant to join the Global Merchandising - Women's Leather Goods team. This role plays a key part in developing the strategic vision for this iconic category. In a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, you’ll help bring our product strategy to life, ensuring every piece reflects the craftsmanship and innovation that define Burberry. You will work closely with Merchandising and partnering across Sourcing, Planning, Product Development, and Design, our teams shape and manage the full lifecycle of our product ranges.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and analyse sales reports at style, fabric, and colour level using Excel to inform future design development and seasonal range planning.
- Manage all PLM data entry to ensure delivery dates and multi-currency pricing are accurate; maintain data to support the price structure in PLM.
- Conduct competitive and pricing analysis to guide pricing architecture; partner with the corporate pricing team to understand price bands across core currencies and report findings to Merchandising.
- Own sample management process including tracking, ordering, and maintaining samples; organise and coordinate collection notes and buying guides.
- Assist in preparing and presenting key documents such as quarterly sales hindsight decks and global brand buy materials; support market training administration for the Merchandising team.
- Deliver ad hoc administrative support and collaborate with regional teams to ensure smooth operations and alignment across the business.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Passion for Women’s product with an understanding of the Women’s leather goods luxury market; demonstrates commercial instinct and strong taste level.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong analytical and retail maths skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Highly organised, collaborative team player with the ability to present comfortably and work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Previous product merchandising experience within a luxury brand is beneficial but not required; adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic setting.
