JOB PURPOSE
You will be working as part of the global ESG Operations team with a purpose to drive and embed sustainability best practice in Burberry’s supply chain. You will manage the seasonal collation of sustainable supplier data and documentation, ensuring compliance to ESG legislation and contributing to achieving Burberry’s sustainability targets. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly-formed function, helping to shape the future of Burberry’s sustainability objectives in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the collation and validation of data and documentation relating to sustainable claims and targets
- Be first point of contact for Suppliers and Vendors, building effective working relationships to drive adherence to ways of working and traceability requirements
- Work with large datasets, identifying and resolving data inconsistencies and discrepancies
- Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders
- Collaborate with immediate, wider and external teams through effective written and oral communication
- Demonstrate an understanding of using data to inform performance analysis and identify learnings
- Understand different KPIs, and confidently be able to pull together the right data and performance metrics vs traceability roadmap
- Support in the creation and maintenance of training materials, including the delivery of training to internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute collaboration ideas and streamlining processes to drive continuous improvement
- Support the weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting requirements across Supply Chain, ESG Operations & Corporate Responsibility teams
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Strong interest in and understanding of sustainability & ESG landscape
- Interest in the fashion industry is strongly preferred
- Degree level education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including excel
- A great communicator – confident in presenting ideas and social thinking to different parts of the business and with key partners
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn; a self-starting attitude and enthusiasm is a must
- Can work under pressure, with the ability to be reactive and flexible
- Analytical mind with an understanding of KPIs, and how to interpret data into actionable insights and learnings
- An excellent organiser who can multitask and prioritise multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Attention to detail and a track record of operating in a fast-paced environment is essential
- Methodical approach to work with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to react to change with a willingness and passion to learn new things
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and organise workload
- Ability to problem-solve
