JOB PURPOSE

This role sits within the EMEIA Wholesale Team and owns the day to day account management and development of the Travel Retail Wholesale business in the EMEIA Region. They will embody the Burberry values and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration.

 

The goal of this position is to drive the Travel Retail Wholesale business through effective partnership with our Wholesale customers. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Selling Market

Develop a sales plan aligned to the Travel Retail strategy at the beginning of each selling season

Build a Travel Retail buying assortment in conjunction with Global Travel Retail and Visual Merchandising internal teams

Sell and support selling activities during market following Global Buy and Key Merchandising Strategy

Liaise with Customer Operations for post-market activities and produce final sales analysis of the season

 

Business Development

Manage and visit wholesale distributors and stores on a regular basis for commercial negotiation, increase productivity and sell out, ensure Brand standards are met, and maintain close relationships and partnerships

Facilitate marketing opportunities, sales incentives and specific Visual Merchandising initiatives.

Coach and educate partners on brand and product, service knowledge.

Review and analyse sales and inventory levels on a regular basis to drive in season sales on strong performing products and maximise performance

Review outstanding units/cancellations/retiming reports and decide substitution for cancellations.

Manage and approve (when applicable) client returns and stock swaps.

Develop and maintain luxury distribution network with travel retail stores (execute closures / refurbs / new sites), ensuring all terms and contractual agreements are executed

Work closely with the Wholesale Product team, discuss product performance, market trends and design feedback and needs of the market

Identify future potential customers, present collections/strategies

 

Line Management

Manage the Account Executive to develop them and hit sales and business objectives

  • Good spoken and written English (French / German language an added benefit)
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Ability to work periodic weekends and evenings
