Senior Manager, Commercial Procurement

JOB PURPOSE
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and deliver the procurement strategy for Professional Services, aligning category priorities with Burberry’s wider business objectives.
- Lead, support and develop procurement colleagues, creating an inclusive environment that encourages accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Advise senior stakeholders on complex commercial decisions, using market insight and analysis to deliver value, innovation and effective risk management.
- Direct category management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier relationships across a diverse Professional Services portfolio.
- Oversee Burberry’s managed service provider for contingent labour, monitoring performance, governance and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Deliver financial and operational outcomes through robust reporting, policy ownership, process improvement and effective stakeholder partnership.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Significant procurement experience, with the ability to lead complex categories and substantial spend portfolios; Professional Services experience would be advantageous.
- Experience supporting and developing teams, with a collaborative and inclusive approach to leadership.
- Strong commercial judgement and numerical capability, with confidence interpreting data and translating insights into practical recommendations.
- A record of building trusted relationships and influencing stakeholders at senior levels across a complex organisation.
- Knowledge of contingent labour governance and relevant UK legislation, including IR35, AWR and associated compliance requirements.
- Effective negotiation, analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to balance strategic priorities and operational delivery in a changing environment.
