JOB PURPOSE

We are hiring a Senior RTR Accountant to join Burberry Business Services, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping high‑quality financial reporting across the Group. Working at the heart of Burberry’s Record to Report activity, this role combines technical rigour with collaboration and leadership. You will help ensure our financial foundations are robust, transparent and continually evolving to support a global luxury brand.
 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and deliver Record to Report activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings, with accuracy and care.
  • Prepare and review reports supporting internal governance and external reporting requirements.
  • Take accountability for assigned accounting areas, including oversight of processes and support of team members.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for Group Finance and external auditors, building confidence through clarity and responsiveness.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance to resolve queries, share insight and strengthen ways of working.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls and reporting quality.

 

 

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Professionally qualified or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Solid experience within financial accounting, with exposure to IFRS and UK GAAP in a complex environment.
  • Confident working with large data sets and financial systems, using insight to support sound decision‑making.
  • Comfortable collaborating across teams and cultures, with a clear and constructive communication style.
  • Naturally organised, with a strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership for outcomes.
  • Curious and improvement‑focused, open to new technologies and evolving ways of working.
