The Reward Advisor will be a Subject Matter Expert who is responsible for supporting the Reward Centre of Expertise, wider HR community and our people to provide expert advice relating to Reward and Benefits. 


The Reward Advisor role will support the delivery of: 

  • Global Annual Pay Review  

  • Retail incentive schemes 

  • Statutory and legislative Reward initiatives (Living Wage, Gender pay reporting) 

  • Benefits (cycle to work, eye vouchers, meal vouchers (EMEIA) 

  • Bonus schemes for customer services and Retail 

  • Staffwear 

  • Administration of company pension schemes 


Assist as required with other reward activities  i.e. liaising with HR on reward related issues, providing guidance on reward frameworks, supporting with benchmarking roles, analysis and interpretation of reward data and making recommendations on approach. 

To keep abreast of new and changing legislation/regulations that will have an impact on the reward landscape. 


Reporting into the HR Operations – Senior Manager, this role will partner with the Reward Centre of Expertise and wider HR team based in London to ensure that an excellent level of customer service is provided to the business. 



  • Responsible for managing and responding to escalated queries relating to Reward and Benefits from the HR Operations Coordinators (Tier 1) in a Shared Service environment. 

  • Working in close partnership with the Reward Centre of Expertise (CoE) to ensure that Reward strategy and design is operationalised 

  • Work in close partnership with the Reward COE to develop and operationalise the launch of new schemes. 

  • Updates Standard Operating Procedures linked to Reward activity where necessary  

  • Ownership of the administration and monthly reporting of various reward and benefit schemes. 

  • Preparatory work for annual pay review and incentive scheme payments  

  • Provide support, guidance and information to HR Business Partner’s and line management to assist with the implementation/ deliverables of the outcomes. 

  • Provide support to ensure that Burberry meets its statutory requirements such as Gender Pay Gap Reporting and National Minimum Wage. 

  • Highlighting emerging trends within the Reward space and potential issues that may impact service delivery

  • Support with Reward Administration tasks for key annual activities such as Year-end annual review, Benefits Window, Living Wage, Long service awards and queries.  

  • Support the training and upskilling of the Tier 1 HR Service Desk Advisors  and HR Coordinators to respond to Reward related queries 



  • Experience in a reward and benefits environment  

  • Shared Service experience - preferred 

  • CIPD qualification - Preferred 

  • In depth knowledge of processes, policies and regulations within one of more of the following areas: Payroll, Compensation and Benefits. 

  • Knowledge of Shared Service processes, policies and procedures (e.g. escalation procedures, service level agreements, customer service standards). 

  • Strong numeracy skills and ability to manage large complex data sets 

  • Strong MS Excel Skills (Intermediate or Advanced Level) Essential. This will involve experience of V-look ups, Pivot table and IF functions
