RTR Accountant

JOB PURPOSE

We are hiring an RTR Accountant to join Burberry Business Services, where you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. This position is central to ensuring the integrity of our Record to Report processes, supporting both internal and external insights that guide decision-making. You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, working collaboratively across teams to enhance processes and strengthen financial control. At Burberry, your work will help shape a resilient and forward-looking finance function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver month-end activities including journal postings, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations with precision and ownership.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely and structured way.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and reporting through clear analysis of movements and trends.
  • Produce RTR reports to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Respond to queries and provide financial insights, balancing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Identify and support improvements to processes, driving efficiency, accuracy and consistency across Finance.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or progressing towards qualification.
  • Sound understanding of month-end close processes and balance sheet accounting principles.
  • Experience in reconciliations, with the ability to investigate and resolve variances confidently.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills, with attention to detail and data quality.
  • Collaborative communicator who builds effective working relationships across teams.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous learning and process improvement.
