Employee Services Team Leader - 12 Month FTC

JOB PURPOSE

We are hiring an Employee Services Team Leader to shape and deliver high-quality HR operations across the employee lifecycle at Burberry. This is a full-time (37.5 hours), 12-month fixed term opportunity based in our Queen Street, Leeds office. This role is central to driving consistency, operational excellence and a seamless people experience. You will lead a team and partner closely with HR colleagues across Payroll, HR Systems, Reward, HR Business Partners and Employee Relations to strengthen service delivery across the business.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the delivery of employee lifecycle processes, ensuring accuracy, quality and adherence to agreed service levels
  • Allocate and prioritise work across the team to maintain a consistent and efficient service
  • Oversee audits, compliance checks and data quality initiatives, ensuring strong governance and GDPR adherence
  • Act as a key point of contact for operational escalations, identifying root causes and delivering sustainable solutions
  • Partner with stakeholders across Payroll, HR Systems, Reward, HRBPs and Employee Relations to improve processes and enhance self-service capabilities
  • Support and develop team members through onboarding, performance conversations and ongoing development planning

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Experience leading or supervising teams within HR operations or a shared services environment
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, controls frameworks and service delivery models
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Clear and confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across different levels of the organisation
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data integrity, compliance and quality outcomes
