JOB PURPOSE

The Client Advisor is responsible for building strong relationships with both new and existing clients, delivering a personalised and elevated experience that drives commercial success.

Reporting to store management, the Client Advisor serves as a brand ambassador—conveying a genuine passion for Burberry, fashion, and luxury products.

With expertise in client engagement and service, the Client Advisor brings a high level of styling knowledge and selling skills to every interaction, consistently delivering exceptional service and embodying the Burberry experience.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Service and Sales

  • Consistently meet and exceed individual and store sales targets, as well as other key commercial KPIs.

  • Inspire clients through storytelling and a genuine passion for the Burberry brand, creating desire and emotional connection in every interaction.

  • Deliver a true luxury experience, demonstrating deep product knowledge and expertise in fashion and styling.

  • Guide clients through the full Burberry Client Journey—from a strong first impression to discovery, expert styling advice, and confident closure of the sale—while building long-term relationships.

  • Ensure timely and effective follow-up and after-sales care to maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Support daily store operations by upholding the highest standards in both front and back of house. This includes stock replenishment, inventory management, markdown execution, and maintaining an organised stockroom.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain visual merchandising standards in line with Burberry’s brand guidelines.

  • Contribute to a positive team environment, fostering collaboration and a supportive store culture.

Client Engagement

  • Build meaningful and lasting relationships with clients through personalised, one-on-one service.

  • Proactively use appointments to offer tailored experiences that drive loyalty and repeat business.

  • Identify and capture new luxury clients to expand the store’s client book, always with a strong commercial mindset.

  • Drive client retention by maintaining regular communication, providing timely follow-ups, and responding effectively to client needs and requests.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets

  • Experienced in clienteling with strong product knowledge

  • Good understanding of retail operations and competitor products

  • Passionate about fashion, art, and culture

  • Detail-oriented, creative, and results-driven

  • Confident with excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Energetic, proactive, and self-motivated

  • Collaborative team player with a flexible, adaptable approach

  • Fluent in the local language; English and additional languages desirable
