APAC Payroll Project Manager (18-month contract)

JOB PURPOSE
The project manager will manage Burberry’s program of implementing payroll transformation across its APAC Region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the implementation of potential new suppliers by creating and maintaining accurate, up-to-date project plans and managing third party providers and stakeholders to ensure adherence to project timelines
- Work closely with vendor implementation PM and team to track and adhere to timelines
- Manage project financials including estimates, budgets and forecasts
- Create and maintain accurate Risk / Assumption / Issues / Dependencies (RAID) logs and ensure that the relevant parties are involved in addressing these
- Manage project resource allocation, coordinating resources to meet project objectives
- Work with the Change Lead to ensure change management plans and stakeholder engagement plans are created and maintained in conjunction with project plan timelines and milestones.
- Provide leadership and decision making support by establishing project governance. Chair project governance meetings as needed and ensure the participation of the relevant stakeholders in decision-making
- Work alongside IT, Systems and data protection teams, etc. to ensure that security, interfacing and other requirements as relevant are catered for
- Collaborate with the It Project Manager to ensure internal governance procedures are followed and completed as expected
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the projects, and ensure that internal or third party project team members have the access to necessary tools, people, and information
- Perform project status and performance reporting during the execution, and complete project documentation upon project closure
- Facilitate project completion and transition to relevant BAU parties for ongoing operations
- Close projects and conduct lessons learned sessions – capture and document the knowledge and ensure its availability to other project managers
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Experience using MS Project to complete programme and project management activities
- Experience using SAP, Apptio, Workfront, Ariba, Confluence or Jira would be a plus
- Self-starter, able to work comfortably without set processes, assisting to shape and improve Governance in processes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information succinctly and concisely
- Strong understanding of project management principles, terminology, key success factors, and methods
- Ability to diagnose and remedy poor project management practices
- Strong track record of on-time, on-budget and to-specification delivery of projects
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams – empower team members to engage and perform, and direct when necessary
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and work effectively with others at all levels across the business
