JOB PURPOSE
Burberry is seeking an experienced and talented Pattern Manager to lead our Pattern Team, reporting directly to the Director of Technical Development. In this pivotal role, You will work closely with our Design, Product Development, and Product Engineering teams in London, as well as the Technical department in Castleford, and collaborate with various cross-functional teams to ensure excellence across every stage of the process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and inspire a team of 5-6 skilled Pattern Technicians, driving the timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Act as the key liaison for new style launches, seamlessly bridging communication between the PD, Design, and Product Engineering teams and the Castleford Technical Development team.
- Craft, grade, and refine patterns from sketches, basic blocks, or reference samples, ensuring every detail aligns with design and engineering specifications.
- Innovate by developing and adapting foundational blocks to accommodate new styles and shapes requested by the design or PD teams.
- Expertly create and grade patterns digitally using Lectra, maintaining impeccable styling details and proportions; familiarity with CLO3D is a valuable asset.
- Produce comprehensive size charts for all developed styles and prepare patterns for manufacturing, incorporating essential details such as seam allowances, notches, and grain lines.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest production quality standards while ensuring cost-effective processes.
- Play a hands-on role in fit sessions and sampling approvals, meticulously updating Technical Packs with precise details, including size charts, trim sheets, and fusing information.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Pattern Cutter, Engineer, or Technician, with proven expertise in leading and managing a team.
- Advanced digital pattern-cutting skills, particularly with Lectra Modaris, are essential.
- Deep understanding of fit, body movement, and body proportion, ensuring designs translate seamlessly to the wearer.
- Experience with Clo3D is a distinct advantage, showcasing forward-thinking and innovation in digital design.
- Background in rainwear and outerwear is highly desirable, adding valuable expertise to the role.
Qualifications
- Formal education in Pattern Cutting or Fashion, combined with substantial industry experience in digital pattern creation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and the Office Suite, ensuring efficient workflow and communication.
