Quality Operative (Blyth)

JOB PURPOSE
Burberry is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Operative to join our team in the Blyth Centre. In this position, you will be multi-skilled in all aspects of the Quality team, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end process. You will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet Burberry’s high standards, contributing to the overall efficiency and excellence of our operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) inspections across all product categories within the hub, including apparel, leather goods, footwear, and accessories.

Perform AQL inspections at UK-based vendor facilities prior to shipments arriving at the hub.

Carry out personalisation services for digital orders, including:

Leather embossing

Fragrance engraving

Embroidery
-

Inspect and assess returned items from stores, identifying damage and determining next steps.

Undertake repair and recovery of damaged items to maintain product quality and extend lifecycle.

Deliver aftercare services, including the repair and refresh of products for clients and employees.

Assist the Inventory Controller with stock management activities:

Picking and putting away stock

Stock reconciliation and organisation

Support the Team Leader with data entry and reporting tasks.

Collaborate with the wider Quality team in London, contributing to SOFTs engineering product sign-off processes.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Experience in warehouse or production environments, with repair/recovery skills and SAP knowledge desirable but not essential

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based setting

Computer literate with strong communication skills

Confident operating machinery and handling product personalisation tasks

Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and Health & Safety
