JOB PURPOSE
The Client Manager will cultivate relationships with new and existing Very Important Clients (Elite Clients), demonstrating excellence in selling, service, styling and wardrobing skills. They will work closely with all store teams and Burberry Client Engagement and Public Relations departments to drive sales and productivity in your store.
RESPONSIBILITIES
CLIENT DEVELOPMENT
- Working ‘by appointment’ to provide a personal service and maintain close relationships with all Elites (in-store or off-site)
- Possess a client book with established relationships with Elites, introducing them to the brand through private appointments and/or consignments.
- Grow and retain relationships with Elite clients year-over-year.
- Proactively clientele and recruit new Elites to build a client book in partnership with Store Director and Burberry Client Engagement Manager through local networking (stylists, hospitality business, arts & entertainment etc.).
SERVICES & SALES
- Drive and deliver personal sales and KPI targets by cultivating client relationships.
- Execute all sales initiatives driven by the Burberry Client Engagement Manager.
- Maintain ‘Service and Standards’ at all times by adhering to all policies and ensuring delivery of the ‘Burberry Experience’ to the highest standard.
- Provide a luxury experience, demonstrating expertise in styling and wardrobing for all occasions.
- Support and lead by example at in-store events in order to cultivate relationships and drive sales.
- Be proactive in generating and executing group appointments.
- Be efficient in follow-up and all after-sales services with customers.
INTERNAL PARTNERSHIPS
- Develop internal relationships to drive client development in store by partnering with the Burberry Client Engagement Manager and Burberry Public Relations Manager.
- Be a liaison between the Burberry Public Relations Team and Store Team, supporting with VVIC pulls and appointments (in-store or off-site).
- Share client feedback and sales opportunities with Store Director and Burberry Client Engagement Manager.
- Share best practices and knowledge with the Burberry Client Engagement Manager and global team.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Demonstrated experience in selling to VVICs and have well established Client book.
- Proven track record of delivering sales and exceeding targets.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury selling retail.
- Self- starter with a hand on, can- do mentality willing to take on great responsibility.
- Luxury experience/background.
- Bi-lingual /multi-lingual language proficiency is a plus to cater to our international customer base.
- Must have very strong follow up skills and superior time management skills.

• Expected base salary for the role will generally be between $80,000.00 and $87,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
• This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
