Senior Programme Manager, Supply Chain Excellence - 22 month contract

The Senior Programme Manager, Supply Chain Excellence will be accountable for the successful delivery of business related activities for all cross functions as part of the Symphony programme and other Supply Chain excellence initiatives.


  • Overall accountability for the generation and management of the initiative plan.  This includes any sub level plans.
  • Definition, implementation and operation of programme procedures (e.g. risk & issue management, status reporting, decision logs)
  • Project management business elements in programme cycle
  • Management of PMO resource
  • Manage the Integrated Programme Plan
  • Manage programme status reporting, produce packs and take minutes for key Governance forums
  • Manage Change Control process
  • Manage the programme level Risk, Issues, Actions and Dependencies (RAID)
  • Manage Programme communications alongside Business Change Management lead
  • Manage methodology assets and training
  • Responsible for the Quality Management Plan
  • Responsible for enforcing governance processes across the programme, including  the management of risks, issues and dependencies
  • Responsible for managing the gate / documentation process - ensuring that the team deliver to the plan
  • Manage operational requirements of the projects - e.g.: workshop logistics and meeting invitations
  • Monitor and control the project schedule, the timeliness and quality of the project deliverables, and the achievement of project milestones
  • Co-ordination and preparation of the governance meeting including materials and pre-briefings.


  • Ability to drive project deliverables independently
  • Supply Chain experience.
  • Planning experience preferable.
  • Project management skills in Supply Chain
  • Proven Senior Stakeholder Management skills
  • Proven experience in coordinating various work streams remotely
  • Pro-active approach - able to identify areas of need and to manage outputs
  • Ability to see the big picture and delve into detail where needed
  • Proven experience in ‘thinking outside the box’ / demonstrating an open attitude to change.
  • Proven experience in facilitating meetings / workshops.
  • Proven experience delivering in a time pressured environment.
  • Proven experience in facilitating the work of others.
  • Desirable: past transformation project experience
