Point of contact for colour management, working collaboratively with the relevant internal teams (i.e. Design, Product Development, Mill) and external teams (i.e. Suppliers, Vendors Testing Labs) in establishing, maintaining & approving colour standards and processes across product categories.

  • Drive Colour Management Strategy with cross-functional teams within Burberry PLC
  • Provide training ton Suppliers & vendors and implement colour standardization where possible
  • Develop & Roll out colour management standardization program with suppliers & vendors
  • Analyse colour approval statistics and make appropriate changes to improve supplier, vendor performance
  • Collaborate with Design to finalise seasonal palette of colours and Influence to reconcile where necessary to maintain colour integrity(i.e.; communicate reference details for existing colours)
  • Ensure substrate is appropriate for industrialisation or provide alternate solutions
  • Review requests for palette deviations throughout the season and determines if the new colour is needed or variation is within tolerance
  • Develop relationships with colour standard services with the goal of improving colour management practices at Burberry
  • Drive evaluation and selection of a single colour management service for long term partnership
  • Run tests of matching shade/substrate variations to a single standard while maintaining substrate specific variations through production
  • Implement digital evaluation of colour under appropriate circumstances
  • Maintain physical colour library
  • Supervise addition of  new colours to the PLM colour library system (FlexPLM)
  • Degree in Colour/ Chemistry Engineering with Superior colour vision
  • Ability to balance design aesthetic considerations with the need to uphold quality standards
  • Experience in colour management, visual assessment methods, digital assessment methods
  • Experience implementing the use of colour standards
  • Expertise in colour achievability and reasonable  tolerance on different substrates
  • Strong knowledge of colour quality standards

  • Strong experience in colour management
