  • Protect Burberry aesthetic- product knowledge and ownership, quality and attention to detail
  • Passion for fashion and product knowledge- “fashion sensibility” knowledge of trends, the market, peer awareness and knows the luxury consumer
  • Strong technical knowledge- understanding product construction, launching sketches with vendors and attending fit / sign off meetings.
  • Commercial awareness (including  understanding of product cost) and business acumen, balance between creativity and commercial
  • Developing Raw Material and Trim in specific areas such as Knitwear, Hard & Soft Accessories and Shoes.
  • Understanding quality standards, functionality (including consistency and standardisation) and end use
  • Process and systems knowledge and experience -  PLM and SAP.
  • Awareness of the end to end Critical Path and key milestones
  • BoM Management
  • Capability knowledge of vendors and vendor management
  • Capability of working with multiple projects & cross functional teams; partnering closely with the Design team.


  • Previous Product Development experience within Textiles
  • Solution orientated – problem solver, flexible and adaptable, resilient
  • Strong communication skills – relationship cultivator- negotiator, influencer and collaborator.
  • Process and systems orientated- think and understand end to end
  • Strong time management skills- experience of working in high paced environment
  • Business acumen
