Drive and scale sustainable manufacturing practices (Chemical Management and Water Conservation) across Burberry Supply Chain in ASIA.


  • Manage and implement Sustainable Manufacturing Strategies in Asia
  • Build and promote the culture of sustainability among partners and relevant stakeholders, with reference to natural resources and chemical management
  • Contribute to develop the global strategies and develop the appropriate tactics to deliver on the corporate goals in the region
  • Critically assess technical innovations and identify opportunities to scale Best Available Technologies to deliver on the chemical management and water conservation targets set for the Supply Chain
  • Implement Burberry’s and the ZDHC Chemical Management Tools across Asian Partners to deliver the Chemical Management Programme goals
  • Research and contribute to the Air Emission and Water Conservation implementation plan.
  • Engage, motivate, build trust and support Partners in the elevation of their manufacturing environmental performance
  • Integrate and build strong relationship with internals and cross functional teams to enable an harmonized implementation of the sustainable manufacturing programme. Build solid relationship with relevant stakeholders to facilitate uptake and scale the programme externally.
  • Regularly report on progress internally and externally


  • 8+ years’ textile or leather engineer working experience
  • Has experience in leading environmental or chemical management programmes
  • Has a network of experts in the field of water, chemical and environmental domain
  • Has managed a team 
  • Fluent in English
  • Post graduate / Master level in Textile or Leather Engineering and/or Environmental Management
  • Expert on innovation technologies in the Apparel Industry
  • Effective communication and relationship management
  • Proficient in ZDHC tools
  • Demonstrate knowledge of textile and leather manufacturing environmental impact.
  • Passionate about Supply Chain and Sustainability
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills  
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
