JOB PURPOSE

The Warehouse and Transport Coordinator is responsible for overseeing transport management, organising internal warehousing activities related to leather goods proto and samples and coordinating the external logistics provider responsible for Burberry Manifattura's finished goods handling. The person will oversee the delivery of RM and FG to and from Burberry Manifattura's vendors in order to optimise flows and ensure efficiency in terms of cost and delivery times. The Coordinator will also manage the handling of the internal Proto and Sample FG warehouse, overseeing the inbound and outbound and ensuring that the correct invoices are issued. Finally, the person will be responsible for liaising with the logistics provider who manages the handling of finished leather goods at the external consolidation hub to establish a relationship focused on achieving objectives and the success of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • TRANSPORT
    • Overseeing transport management based on the internal needs of the manufacturing departments;
    • Supervising the external transport organisation for the collection and delivery of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products in EU and non-EU countries;
    • Liaising with the Transport Coordinator to verify compliance with transport procedures, paying attention to the procedure for collection and delivery of finished goods;
    • Assisting the Transport Coordinator in managing the onboarding of new carriers as required;
    • Ensuring that the agreed rates are the best for the services provided, with particular attention to optimising loads to keep costs under control;
    • Supporting the Transport Coordinator for checking invoices and generating purchase orders on the specific portal (Ariba);
    • Leading the Transport Coordinator in the resolution and management of transport issues, liaising with the Trade Compliance department for non-EU transport;
    • Ensuring the creation and updating of reports and KPIs for the monitoring of transport lead times and costs;
    • Overseeing the preparation of export documentation for raw materials and finished products.
  • WAREHOUSE
    • Managing inbound and outbound activities in the internal warehouse for Proto and Sample;
    • Monitoring of stock movements and stock levels through appropriate tracking in the ERP and WMS system for prototype, sample and finished goods;
    • Ensuring the correct return of finished products after sale in accordance with procedures and recording of information in the ERP and WMS systems;
    • Organising and carrying out the annual stock count and cycle stock count of the coordinated warehouses;
    • Liaising with external logistics provider to facilitate day-to-day issues and activities;
    • Ensuring reporting and updating of logistics provider KPIs;
    • Overseeing barcoding activities for production.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  •  Experience in logistics transport and warehouse management;
  • Excellent planning and organization skills;
  • Good problem solving skills;
  • Strong analysis and data management;
  • Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel);
  • IT skills in ERP and WMS systems. Preferable previous experience in use Stealth 3000 and Logimoda WMS;
  • Fluency in Italian;
  • Good English knowledge;
  • Ability to have a global vision of assigned activities.
