The Fabric and Trim Development team work closely with Design and Product Development to realise the creative vision for each collection each season.  As Trim Developer for Womens Mainline you will be involved in all aspects of research and development, working closely with internal and external partners to ensure developments are in line with the Critical Path and business strategies.  If you have experience in a similar environment at a relevant level and an affinity for the Burberry aesthetic, this could be a great opportunity to join us. 

Responsibilities;

  • Seasonal research, development and presentation to designers of new concepts in all trim materials
  • Being cross functional with all departments internally and to manage communication with trim suppliers
  • Accountable for maintaining all data, pricing and testing of trims and ensuring accurate update of TLL and PLM
  • Adhere to and manage the Critical Path to ensure timely delivery of trims and components
  • Responsible for monitoring spend, keeping in-line with the budget and tracking excess trim value and quantities

Person Profile:

  • Fashion/ textiles or related degree (or equivalent) an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication; English essential, plus Italian or Chinese an advantage
  • Experience of PLM systems an advantage
  • Raw Material Trim development experience working at a relevant level, preferably within a luxury brand, ideally focussed on Womenswear
  • Knowledge of production techniques, commercial pricing and testing standards
  • Proven effective relationship management with Design, Product Development teams and Raw Material Trim supplier spectrum
  • Knowledge of current market, trends and competitor’s products
  • Confidence using all programmes in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint) essential
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and problem solve
  • Ability to handle a fast pace and high level of pressure
  • Collaborative and flexible approach with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business
