JOB PURPOSE

This role provides O365 and SharePoint expertise as part of both the Digital Workplace Programme and the Data Privacy Programmes,  for both Modern and Classic SharePoint sites, custom solutions and Burberry World (intranet) with a high focus on the design and implementation of privacy controls, planning site design and supporting a third party consultancy during data migration.

 

This is a FTC role. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and own an ongoing technical roadmap that will feed into the project portfolio for SharePoint Online and associated features like Search, to ensure that Burberry is taking advantage of the evergreen nature of the solution.
  • Understand and drive how we can manage, secure and share (both internally and externally) our data stored within SharePoint to meet our Information Security and Data Privacy requirements and retention policies.
  • Work closely with our third party consultancy on a number of data migration projects (Shared Drives, cloud file migrations) to ensure that the new target SharePoint sites are fit for purpose, provide user adaption and training to the Teams to ensure that they are confident working with the new structure.
  • Drive document collaboration via Microsoft Teams to assist in hitting our Digital Workplace Programme KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain (in partnership with the Data Architect/Data Team) a SharePoint Term Store.
  • Be confident in creating and running PowerShell scripts as and when required.
  • Design, implement and support both modern and classic SharePoint pages, Applications, OAuth connections, PowerAutomate flows, and related features as required whilst also supporting our employees towards a self-service approach to site design.
  • Manage and Configure our Online SharePoint Infrastructure alongside our BAU SharePoint Lead, including investigating and implementing new functionality as it is released by Microsoft.
  • Work closely with our Third Party SharePoint Designer Consultancy to ensure the SOW  meet our design principles and are technically sound prior to implementation.
  • Ensure that the design of SharePoint sites is user-friendly and accessible and follows our Brand Guidelines.
  • Implement and management the creation of new SharePoint site templates as required including management of branded themes.
  • Monitor the Message Centre in O365 to identify areas of concern or improvements, work with the BAU SharePoint Lead to review and implement.
  • Engage with end-users to collect feedback for existing functionality, and requirements for platform and site enhancements.
  • Create materials for and deliver end-user training and sessions to encourage the usage of SharePoint.
  • Produce innovative solutions to challenging collaboration and content management business problems.
  • Support innovation in the Digital Workplace area.
