Lead and develop all aspects of Product Engineering for Women's RTW Runway collections.



  • Partner with design and PD to translate design intent into product technical specifications
  • Implement standardization of fit across categories in partnership with technical design
  • Management of category model measurements ensuring they are aligned to fit standards
  • Establish construction standards for runway 
  • Identify opportunities for cost engineering improvement & raw material optimisation
  • Risk and safety management delivering product to the required technical standards
  • Management of non-compliant product
  • Establishment and management of blocks in conjunction with technical design
  • Management of product details and care instructions
  • Care & content label approval
  • Lead and manage team projects aligned to core objectives


  • Develop relationships and effective communication with vendors
  • Enhance quality of communication between Burberry runway teams
  • Train and mentor team to elevate product quality
  • Establish and manage capacity and capability to deliver against the business requirements
  • Engage and elevate vendor technical teams


  • Implement and develop ways of working within the product engineering function
  • Lead category or departmental projects, coordinating and utilising skills sets where appropriate
  • Establish and manage the teams and vendors capability to deliver against the business requirements
  • Weekly reporting of quality (pp samples stage/testing and nc fields and hub’s)
  • Approve 100% pp samples. manage pp samples meetings and approval process. assist pp meetings in factory
  • Provide technical input for vendor selection& vendor on boarding
  • Provide technical input into product withdraw/recalls& root causes analysis from customer feedback


  • Develop and evolve the use of PLM for runway collections
  • Integrate the use of technology like 3d rendering and virtual simulations for fit and quality
  • Use data to make appropriate decisions regarding product quality



  • Strong Technical Design and Product Engineering skills (Pattern cutting, construction, size, shape & fit)
  • Relevant degree level and/or relevant experience in a similar role
  • Extensive years of experience within an apparel or related industry with key expertise in Women’s Wear products (Leather and Trims knowledge is also beneficial)
  • Experience in working on Runway collections or as Technical Design within luxury is ideal 
  • Fluent Italian is beneficial
  • Pattern cutting and grading experience
  • Proven knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes
  • Raw Materials and product testing knowledge is a plus
